PACKAGING
REDAVID
HAIRCARE PRODUCTS
Redavid Salon Products went through a massive rebranding and packaging redesign in 2016.
A key component of their relaunch was to develop a custom color palette and label design architecture for a custom bottle shape that would help them stand out in a saturated market.
The palette was derived from their natural ingredients and was segmented into 4 catagories: Orchid Oil, Cedarwood, Shea Butter and Styling. We worked closely with the client, bottle and label manufacturers and colorant suppliers to develop their signature line.
DIRTY DOG
SHAMPOO
Dirty Dog is a whimsical line of shampoo for dogs. The custom bottle shape was abstracted from the fire hydrant and was produced in 4 colors to help differentiate the product on retail shelves.
The labels were developed around custom cartoon illustrations that reflected the whimsical brand and were augmented with complex dielines that added contrast and interest.
In addition to the primary package, we also developed award winning shelf and floor displays to draw attention in the retail space.
WINE EXPERT
WINE KIT LABELS
Wine Experts is an industry leader in U-brew wine kits. They asked us to redesign all of their “budget” labels which included over 60 varietals. The task was to make attractive labels but not so attractive so as to take away sales from their more premium lines of products.
i/s eyewear
goggle packaging
I/S Eyewear decided to change their product packaging as part of a rebranding campaign. A revised logo and new focus on product innovation necessitated a new retail package.
We developed a new retail packaging for their premium goggle line. It was critically important to showcase the product and highlight the brand. We did this by using materials that had the least environmental impact possible by printing on recycled kraft paperboard with vegetable inks, using a PET window panel and having a flat pack design.
The final solution helped differentiate their product in a very competitive retail space, full of glossy non-recyclable packaging.
i/s eyewear
Sunglass packaging
I/S Eyewear changed their sunglass retail packaging as part of the overall rebranding program.
The majority of competitors use traditional tuck end style cartons that are inexpensive and easy to fabricate but are easily damaged while opening and closing. This cheapens the perceived quality of the product and makes the box a throwaway package.
Our solution was a sliding tray retail package that gave the unveiling of the product a new cache while making repeated opening and closing nondestructive. We wanted the customer to keep the package to store the product while not in use.
dotcomm
voip handset
packaging
DOTCOMM wanted to have a premium retail package for their consumer VOIP handset developed for the North American launch.
We created a luxurious magnetic clasp box with a paper board insert to hold the components in place. Using the brand guideline, we combined the corporate colors (orange and grey) with full color product images and finished the package with matte laminate, a spot gloss varnish to highlight the product image and a silver hot foil stamp for the logo.
